The preschool program provides an inviting and safe environment that encourages students to grow socially, physically, and academically. Students are given the opportunity to participate in structured activities as well as choose activities that interest them. All activities are developed in order to meet the Missouri Early Childhood Standards. All students must be potty trained to attend either preschool program.
The full-day program will meet five days a week for the duration of the school day for ages 3 yrs. – 5 yrs. (not Kindergarten). The program will cost $25/day. Students may bring their own lunch or purchase a lunch from the school cafeteria.
The Tuesday/Thursday morning class meets from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This class is reserved for three year old students and focuses on learning to follow routines, social skills, motor skill development, and beginning academic skills in language arts and math.
The Monday/Wednesday/Friday morning class meets from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This class is reserved for 4 year old students. This class continues to develop the areas of social skills, motor skills, and academics. There is more time given to phonetic development, written language, and math concepts.
The Monday through Friday class meets from 12:00 p.m. to 3:10 p.m. This class is reserved for 4 year old students that will be entering Kindergarten the following year. This class has the same focus as the MWF class, but provides more in depth activities and experiences.
