WASHINGTON-SPRING STREET PROJECT UPDATE FOR:
Monday, October 3, 2016
GAY STREET IS BLOCKED TODAY FOR STORM SEWER INSTALLATION. Use Washington Street to get to Bluejay Drive but please be cautious in that area as the workers are at that intersection. If necessary, take Ashley to Beaumont and exit the south end of the construction zone.
As usual, if you do not need to be on Washington Street – DON’T DRIVE ON WASHINGTON STREET. LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY IS PEOPLE WHO LIVE ON WASHINGTON STREET. If you live on Washington Street please drive slowly and carefully.
Please obey all NO PARKING signs.
THE INTERSECTION OF SPRING AND WASHINGTON IS OPEN.
Spring Street crew will be at Prospect and Spring later today and will be blocking that intersection. They will let you through but you might need to wait for a few minutes.
If you are on Spring Street there is now an open pass through at Edward Street. This route should only be used if absolutely necessary, and going down the hill. Coming up Thomas to Edward you may need a four-wheel drive vehicle. Spring Street is open at Washington Street.
Anyone having trouble with UPS & Fed Ex deliveries can have their packages delivered to City Hall if you would like. Just let us know. Call 640-2752.
If you choose to drive on Washington or Spring please use patience as it is a construction zone. Do NOT pass moving construction equipment. Make eye contact with operators of equipment so they know you are there.
Thank you for your cooperation and patience.
