Lady Jays Emerge Victorious Against North Platte in Lawson Tournament

West Platte Lady Jays Emerge Victorious Against North Platte in the Lawson Tournament last night.

Nealie Niemeier's 26 points propelled West Platte to a 60-49 victory over North Platte on Monday. On a two-pointer from Niemeier, West Platte sealed their victory in the fourth quarter.

West Platte trailed early, 22-19 by the half, only to come back strong in the final two quarters. West Platte locked in their lead in the final quarter, putting up 25 points.

Niemeier led the charge for West Platte's offense, scoring 26 points, with 17 points during the fourth period. She also contributed 15 rebounds and five steals.

Also helping the effort for West Platte were Faith Stevens (9 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal), Hannah McGivern (7 points), Rachel Heili (7 points, 5 rebounds), Lea Moose (5 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal), Alexa Raney (4 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal), and Emily Norman (2 points, 1 rebound).

West Platte finished the game with 43 rebounds (20 offensive / 23 defensive) and eight steals.
